Winooski River Bridge Local Concerns Meeting

The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission has partnered with the City of Winooski, the City of Burlington, and VTrans in a scoping study of the Winooski/Burlington Bridge (US RTs 2/7 over the Winooski River).

The bridge is approaching 90 years old and nearing the end of its expected useful life. For both structural and functional reasons, this bridge will require significant improvements, perhaps outright replacement, in the not-too-distant future. The project will address current bridge deficiencies and ways to improve the safe flow of bike, pedestrian, and vehicular travel.

There will be a number of opportunities for public participation throughout this project, beginning with an alternatives presentation and local concerns meeting on February 6, 2018 – 6:30 pm @ the UVM Medical Center McClure Conference Room (111 Colchester Ave, Burlington, VT 05401).

Questions and requests for additional information regarding this project can be forwarded to Peter Keating, CCRPC Senior Transportation Planner: pkeating@ccrpcvt.org / 802 861 0124
