Who We Are:

Thrive After School is a state-licensed childcare/enrichment program.   Through our partnership with JFK Elementary School and the Winooski School District, we seek to build a community where children can explore, learn, and grow during their after school hours, while providing a safe place and caring adults to support working families.  Our daily structure provides children with opportunities to expand on the learning that takes place during the school day, and allows them to explore and grow through play-based, hands-on learning.   We have opportunities for outside time and other gross-motor play, imaginative play, STEM learning, art, literacy, skill building activities, and exploring hobbies and interests.  We also use this time in our program community to guide children’s social development with the language of Social Thinking as used during the school day, allowing children to practice what they have been learning socially in their classrooms.

Thrive Summer Program

The Thrive Summer Program operates a combination of half day weeks and full day weeks in partnership with the with Summer School Calendar.

The Thrive Summer Program is a sister program to Thrive After School.  With the shared goals of enrichment, social development, and providing a fun and safe environment for children to learn and explore through play, the Thrive Summer Program serves between 60-80 children a summer.  We partner closely with teachers and administrators at JFK to coordinate our schedule with the JFK summer school, allowing children to participate in multiple opportunities every summer.  We provide breakfasts and lunches each day through the Summer Food Program. You can choose to enroll your child(ren) in any or all of the week-long sessions, and financial assistance from Child Care Resource is accepted to cover the cost of camp.
