The Director of Public Works exists to ensure that the infrastructure in the City, including the buildings and grounds, are maintained and improved in a manner that best serves the citizens and business owners in the City. The incumbent is responsible for the effective and efficient use of City resources in a manner that is socially responsible and consistent with the values of the community and the City’s Strategic Vision. The incumbent will develop and maintain a set of priorities and manage the work of public works staff to achieve Citywide as well as department goals. In particular, the director will oversee the water, wastewater, stormwater, streets, building and grounds, and parks. The incumbent serves as a member of the City’s leadership team, provides staff support to the Public Works Commission, and is the liaison between operational staff and leadership.

$84,947 – $91,075 annually, DOE
